DILSE

Put DILSE on your website

Anything on DILSE with a page of its own can sit on your website and stay up to date by itself: a course, an opening, your organisation, a state on the map, a story, or a whole list of them. Every embed carries a small “Powered by DILSE” strip, and opens DILSE in a new tab. Building a tool of your own? Use the open API. Back to DILSE

One item

Beside anything that can travel there is a ⋮. Open it and choose Embed for the code to paste on your website, previewed as it will look on a phone, a tablet and a laptop. Or choose Share for its link: it opens a page of its own, with a picture made for it, so it shows as a card on WhatsApp and LinkedIn. Share also has its QR code, for a poster, a flyer or a slide.

  • India Impact Map: a state’s profile, an indicator coloured across India, a project.
  • DILSE Learn: a course, and a certificate you earned.
  • DILSE Youth: volunteering, an internship, a fellowship, a challenge or an event.
  • Your organisation: its card, with what DILSE has checked and its live work.
  • Realising India, the Shared Library, The Collective, DILSE Capital, the Tools Registry: a story, a report, an event or a question, a funding ask, a tool.

A list that keeps itself up to date

For whoever speaks for many: every project a funder backs, a network’s openings, every internship in a state. What is added on DILSE appears on your website by itself, and what is taken down leaves it.

Doors: let your visitors add to DILSE

A door does more than show. Ask the sector is a box for a question: sending it opens The Collective in a new tab with the question waiting, where your visitor sees whether it was asked before and posts it themselves. Share a moment opens Realising India’s share flow, with its consent steps. Nothing is ever posted for anyone, and what people write stays in their own words.

WordPress: a Custom HTML block. Wix: Embed code. Google Sites: Insert → Embed → Embed code. Blogger: an HTML/JavaScript gadget.

On WordPress

Install the DILSE plugin, then paste a DILSE link on a line of its own in any post or page: the live item shows there. Or use the shortcode [dilse url="…"], with theme="dark" or theme="auto" to match your site. Without the plugin, the website code from Embed works in a Custom HTML block. For a list that keeps itself up to date, fetched by your own server so it shows on https:// sites too, use [dilse_list collection="opportunities" state="Rajasthan"] (see the open API).

Download the WordPress plugin

In WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the file, then Activate. Under Settings → DILSE, check DILSE’s address.

On LinkedIn

A LinkedIn profile does not take embeds, but it shows links as cards. Copy an item’s link from its ⋮ and add it under Featured on your profile. A certificate you earned on DILSE Learn goes under Licenses & certifications: Share on the certificate offers Add it to your LinkedIn profile, with its number and a link to its verification.

Where your work is shown

Looking…

What is counted, and what is not

DILSE counts how many times each embed was shown, and how many times someone followed it into DILSE, by the website it sits on; and how many times a shared link or a QR code was opened. That is all. An embed sets no cookies, loads nothing from anywhere else, and tells DILSE nothing about the people reading your website.

Only what anyone could open from a link travels: real work while it is live, and the demonstration’s own content, marked “Sample” wherever it goes. Something taken down on DILSE disappears from every website at once.

While DILSE is on a test address without https://, embeds show only on websites that use http://. Links and their previews work everywhere. A QR code holds the test address too, so hold any print run until DILSE has its domain.
